Merry Christmas and a Merry Time

we sure did have a wonderful trip. Our Christmas was fantastic and so special. We enjoyed presents and breakfast at Joe's parents house and then went to Sue's house for the day. It was so nice.

Our whole trip was filled with fun. We ate tons of yummy food, and enjoyed family time. It was wonderful becuase Joe's mother and sister had EVERYTHING Skye needed there so it made the visit comfortable.

Skye loved her cousins! Her and Ella are best buds and her and Troy were so cute with each other. We already miss them and wished we lived closer to our cousins and family.

We ended our trip with the EAGLES vs. Cowboys football game and what a great way to end a great trip! What an Eagle victory and now we are heading to the playoffs! Happy daddy= happy mommy and happy Skye Bear. We left Skye with Nan, Pop and Auntie Sue and Joe and I enjoyed a much needed day together.

It was so fun we met Vince Papalie if you have ever seen the movie Invincible he is the real guy who walked onto the Eagles team and played for three years. It was really exciting. If you haven't seen the movie you need to it is a great movie and a true story.

Hope everyone had as Merry of a Christmas as we did! Here is to a wonderful New Year!

Big Surprise and Baby Skye's Baptism

We had an early fight to New Jersey on the 20th. We got there and Skye was all out of sorts. She had a rough 24 hours once we got to New Jersey. When we got there Joe had to go run a few errands... that lasted five hours and I was a bit annoyed because Skye was so out of sorts and wouldn't go to anyone. When he finally returned I was tired and emotional and had just gotten her to sleep. He told me had a surpise that would cheer me up. When I walked downstairs my daddy and Chrissy were standing in Joe's foyer in New Jersey I couldn't believe my eyes.. then a couple minutes later Sean and Sabrina walked in. I really got emotional once I saw all of them. It was so fun and the best surpise I ever had. They drove from Pittsburgh to come to Skye's baptism. Although, it was a short visit, it was a special and one I will hold dear to my heart forever. I Love you guys thank you so much words can't express my happiness for having you there!

Skye was still out of sorts for her baptism she cried as soon as the minister held her but she sure did look cute. It was so nice we had a lunch-in afterwards at an Italian resturant...where we ate delicious food, drank wine, talked, laughter, spend time with family and friends, and celebrated.

She got settled and became her happy little self by Monday. I have also come to realize that she is a bit spoiled! She is so used to me constantly entertaining her and loving on her that she needs that 100 percent atteniton. Oh well they are only babies once.

This time of the year...

is amazing. The holidays are wonderful and something about them just makes me happy. But when you add a Skye Bear to the mix it even makes me more happy. So I couldn't be any happier right now! I have been looking forward to the holidays even more than ever this year because of our angel..who has completed our family!

We are so excited we are heading to New Jersey tomorow morning for 10 days. 10 days with Nanny and Poppy! And 10 days with Aunt Sue, Uncle Troy, Cousins Ella and Tory! Skye has never met Sue, Troy, Ella and little Tory and she has not seen Nan and Pop since she was two weeks old. We are really going to have a great time. Joe and I have not met Little Troy either and we can not wait to get our hands on our little nephew. We are looking forward to being with our family in the cold Jersey weather. It is going to be really special holiday. And to top the trip off Skye and Troy are getting baptized together on Sunday, December 21st. How special for them and for all of us. We can't wait!

I bought this outfit last year at this time and I said Skye can wear this next Christmas....

I can not believe she is here perfect as ever... wearing this outfit I thought she would never fit into. What a wonderful year it has been. This little miracle has added so much to our home.

Unfortunately, Grandmama can not come with us to Jersey because she can't take off work. We sure are going to miss her!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy the holidays love...laugh...spend time with friends and family...appreciate...and love some more.

Time...

goes by so fast...and we can't ever get it back...so I am sure to stop and appreciate time. I am so excited to say that I have more TIME with Skye. I was suppose to return to work in January and now I am not going back to work until February. More time with Skye and less time until my summer break. So more TIME with Skye! I will never be ready to go back to work as I love being with her every second of every day and I never feel like I need a break. Sure there are hard days and easy days...but the hard days make me appreciate the easy days even more! So for now I am thankful for more time off work! I just love my girl!

Happy

Five Months...

The last five months have been filled with more love and happiness than I thought possible. Every day she amazes us more and everyday we fall more in love with her. Her legs are doing awesome now! They are as strong as ever and it happened it only two short weeks. She is unreal and everyday she does something new. We love this age! We just simply love her!

Time for

REAL FOOD! We started cereal two weeks ago and she likes it especially if she is really hungry but today we started real food. She had sweet potatoes and she liked them. She made funny faces as if they were sour. And we all know they are sweet not sour so it was funny! We are going to try sweet potatoes, avocados and bananas this month. I have to do the four-day wait rule so I will be starting avocados in a few days, then bananas last.
It is so fun to feed her food and let her taste new things besides breast milk. Although, she sure does like breast milk.
I decided happily to take on yet another big commitment...I am making all her baby food. I got a WONDERFUL book called Super Baby Food but Ruth Yaron. It is fantastic I have been reading it all weekend and have learned more about food in two days then I have in my lifetime. So Sundays are my baby-food-making-day! I am going to make enough on Sundays to last for the week. I steam, puree, pour into ice cube trays and freeze. It is actually fast, fun, and easy... And the best part is that is so much cheaper. So we will see how it all goes. I am sure I will buy some jars for back up, convenience, or for her to try something new at times but I am going to make the majority of her food! Anything for my angel! She is my love!
Each cube is 2 tablespoons and that is her serving size right now. So this is 32 days worth of food!

Good Times

with her cousins...

and I loved having my big Brother here...

Skye took her first boat ride and she loved it! Her cousins protected her. They were all wonderful with her but Tristan was the most interested in her. He wanted to hold her all the time. It was too cute and every time he held her she would look at him and just talk and talk and grab at his face. We had a great time with them. And even though the GATORS won... this is by far the cutest FSU GIRL Ever!
