Feburary 19th

40 years ago the world became a better place becuase my husband was born. He is an amazing person and I feel like the luckiest women to be married to him. And even luckier to have had a child with him...a perfect Skye Rose to top.

Joe is charasmatic, kind, funny, handsome and anyone who meets him just can't get enough of him especially me.
I have to say I planned quite the 40 year celebration for him too!

Thusday his family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, neice, and nephew) flew in and suprised him at dinner at Campiello. We had a wonderful dinner on 3rd and enjoyed the evening. On Friday his best friend Brian and his wife (Lori) come to town and surprised him. Once they got here I gave him his presents and one of his presents was the weekend at the Ritz so we packed up and headed to the Ritz for the weekend with his Brian and Lori. Saturday I got him off work and set up golf with firends and family! And to top it off Saturday night I had a surprise celebration for him at Tommy's! We drank, ate, laughed, and laughed some more and enjoyed everyone's company it was a fabulous night! Thanks for everyone who came on Saturday to help share in the celebration! It was PERFECT! Thank you so much for all coming from New Jersey! It was so special! There is nothing better then family and firends! And not just any friends but friends who are so wonderful they are like family. To the best firends a couple could have you guys rock!

You know you had a good birthday when you are a golf pro and you get to party with Ben Crenshaw!

Nothing like dancing with your father-in-law

You know you are having fun when your boss has a smile this big on his face!

What is this?

The week was followed by nights at dinner, beautiful sunsets, family and love.

Happy Birthday Joe! Skye and I love you to the moon... and stars... and back! xoxoxo

Long Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend...and when Monday came so did the tears. I tried so hard to fight them but the second I laid her down for bed they began. It isn't getting easier for me but she is fine...she is happy...and she is loved. I tell myself that a hundred times a day to help me feel better.

She cut another tooth...but is pleasant as ever. She is just so fun to be with...she is always happy, loves to play and I look forward to every moment I have with her. Her daddy does too he loves staying home with her...and I must say he is wonderful at it. They have this incredible bond she loves him so much and just melts in his arms.

I weaned her from nursing last week so she is offically done. Seven and a half months is a long time and I am proud of myself... However I would have loved to have done it for a year. I loved every moment of it. I had no choice returning to work left me without an option. She is fine with it as she is fine with everything she adapts to anything besides sleeping through the night:) She will get it one day I hope!

Lucky Number Seven

seven months of Skye Rose...The best therapy in the world...
There are seven million things I love about her but right now these seven things are new and Especially Special...

The way she reachers her arms out to me and only me

The way she falls asleep in my arms at night and her bottom lip pouts out

The way she cuddles her face into me chest when she is tired

The way she gums her food... her little jaw protrudes outward and I could just eat her cheeks

The high pictch squeal she makes when she is happy

The way she waves at everyone and everything

The way she sits up so well and has the best posture I have ever seen

The way she needs us so much but at the same time is so independent and strong willed

She is just all love and our lives are much richer because of her....

Happy seven months Sweetheart! The world is a better place because of you. xoxox

Tooth

she cut her first tooth...the cutest little tooth I have ever seen...my little one is getting so big...she has more of a personality every day and it is a beautiful personalitly inside and out.

Two positives since I returned to work 1. She gets to spend two day a week with DADDY. How amazing for their relationship...I feel fortunate for that 2. she LOVES Dawn (her nanny) she loves her so much you would have thought Dawn was part of her life since birth and she LOVES the other kids that Dawn watches. She has three different little boys all much older then Skye and they just love Skye and she loves them. They entertain her, play with her, and watch out for her.. too cute. I think that was three positives.
How couldn't Dawn love this face....

As for me I feel no better...I have cried more during this transition then I have ever in my life. It is the HARDEST thing I have ever done. And I ache, I hurt, I think of her all day, and I am sad.

We enjoyed our weekend, I held her, kissed her, and embraced her all weekend...dreading the Sunday feeling of doing it all again.

We had a surprize ribbon cutting for Uncle Ryan's first clinic and as we waited for Ryan and Mike Skye played with the other children.

I did something fun...something I have always wanted to do...I darkened my hair A LOT to my normal color and then put RED lots of Red Dark red highlights in it! It is fun...no more roots I loved being blonde and I can't say I will not be blonde again...but I am so excited to not see dark roots on my head...and it pictures. I finally did it now because I can't possible be any more upset then I am now so I figured what the heck...

The time has

come for me to return to work. The day I have dreaded for so long... the day that I thought if I prayed hard enough would never come...the day that is like a bad dream...is not a dream anymore and is here. I am sick, I am sad, I am scared, I am aching inside, and althought I could focus on the positive and find some good in this sitution.

I can't... I physically can't...where is the postitive in that fact that we can't spend our days together and both want too...where is the positive in that fact that she is going to miss me dearly...and I am going to miss her so much it hurts every single second of every day...People tell me I will get used to it...I think that is wonderful that some people can get used to it I wish I were one of the people but I am just not...

I can't see that silver lining becuase I can't imgaine a day that I will get in my car tear free and say I am ok with this...my heart hurts badly. I have literally spend every seccond of everyday with her since last October. She is always with me... I am never alone... she is my best friend. She completes me and without her parting of me is missing.

Is all I can do is pray for strenght and hold a picture of her close to my heart while I am at work.

Another Doctor's Appointment

vaccincations, questions, answers, weight, length, cries, laughs, all great! she is just growing beautifully she shifted a bit down in weight and up in lenght. She weighs 15 pounds 10 ounces now and is 27 1/2 inches. So she is now 50% for weight and 90% for height! She is going to be tall girl! Everything went perfect and once again I thank God over and over for this miracle! This perfect healthy miracle that we love more than life itself...our miracle that we brought into this world...that loves us and depends on us...that makes our lives so complete. We feel so blessed for another great appointment! We don't have another one until she is nine months old! I can't believe I will have a nine month old in less then three months!

And at six months she is quite a social butterfly. She loves her Fridays with Lainey and Lily and this week she made a new friend Kristina.

her first sleepover...

and it was with a boy....Is it love at first sight? Here is how the story goes...

they are doing their own thing...

Alan notices Skye...
She gets excited... Alan thinks about making a move...He gests closer... Skye is done waiting and makes the first move...They kiss...Alan is proud of himself and cheers...

Alan goes back for more and Skye plays hard to get...

A typical love relationship it is not much different as adults...
Joe was out of town so Rayna and Alan come over for a sleepover. We had so much fun! We ate dinner, played with the kids, put them to bed and drank a glass ok some glasses of wine, listened to Sugarland, and talked. Our first sleepover was so fun. We can wait to do it again at the end of the month.
